Ryan Bingham, to me, is the most recent Rebel Rock Country artist to hit the music scene since Jennings and the Hubbards. I absolutely dig this guys sound and music. He actually was the last concert I went to. Bingham rose to popularity with his first two studio releases Mescaline and Roadhouse Sun. Ryan Bingham caught the attention of producer T Bone Burnett. He helped T Bone Burnett on the soundtrack for the film Crazy Heart. The title track for the movie gave way to an  Academy Award, a Golden Globe award, and a Critics' Choice Award for "Best Song" in 2010 to Ryan Bingham. He was also given a Grammy for "Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television, or Other Visual Media" in 2011.Ryan Bingham was honored with Americana Music Associations to award in 2010, "Artist of the Year".

So here you go people. Listen to the wonderful tunes of Mr. Ryan Bingham:

Night With The Linn's: Taco Tuesday

2/3/2015

If there is one thing we love to make and eat in our house it is Tacos.  It is for sure our most cooked meal, mostly because we enjoy eating them and they are not the worst thing we could make as far as health goes.  So since this is such a big part of our weekly ritual we figured we would share our recipe and tips!
Picture
First things first you should put on some music, pour your self a drink, and get out your ingredients.  Remember this is a good way to have fun with what you cook at home!
Picture
You need:
-Olive Oil
-1/2 Onion Diced
-1 lb beef (We used Grass Fed Sirloin)
-Tortiallas
-Cumin
-Chili Powder
-Salt
-Pepper
-Garnishes: Guacamole, Cheese, Salsa, Sour Cream etc.

Start with dicing your onion, heating your saute pan with Olive Oil and lightly sauteing your onion!  Once your onions are starting to brown go ahead and add your beef!  And hopefully you have a cute cook like this one!

Then you are going to work on grounding up and browning your beef.  This is a really good time to snack on some chips and salsa!  Once your meat is browning you want to add in your spices, cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper.

While your beef is finishing up you will want to toast your tortillas.  And get all your garnishing ready to go!  Make sure to say your prayers and you are ready to enjoy a perfect taco night with your loved one!

My Thoughts on Denim

12/4/2014

A while back I asked what my followers would like to hear about. Well Denim has been a particularly hot topic here in Texas now that we are starting to see some cooler weather so I will answer your questions here gents. Some articles will go on and on about all the ins and outs of denim. I have no intention of taking you on a goose chase here. I simply want you to now my thoughts when I choose denim.

Color

Acid wash is great for the 80s and Wranglers. If you are looking for denim to complete your look, STAY AWAY from acid wash. I look for denim to clean line and sophisticate my look when I wear jeans. I am going to assume you all want to do the same. I look for a rich dark blue. Not too dark that the jeans can look black in color at night. I also want to stay away from any patterns, tears, or overly exuberant stitching schemes. Here simple is better.

Fit

I have tried for a long time to find the right fit. My bottom type has not made this treasure hunt easy on me. With Eurofashion hitting us here stateside, my search is finally over. Keeping with the same concept of clean line and sophistication, I present to you the slim fit. This is NOT skinny fit. They are two entirely different cuts and I suggest men stay away from skinny fit. If you are like me, you have been wearing the straight leg or boot cut your whole life. This baggy  look was great about 10 years ago, but it will not give you the clean lines you are looking for.

Cost

Denim should be an investment, especially if you plan on wearing them often. If you plan on buying that perfect pair of denim, you should plan on spending anywhere from $100-$200. I also suggest buying two pairs when you find the perfect pair for you. Don't feel bad spending this much money on a pair of jeans. They could last you 5 years or more potentially and $100-$200 is cheaper than a night out in the city with dinner and bar hopping.
What is your denim?

New Politics is a great new take on a punk rock meets alternative rock band out of Copenhagen, Denmark. Starting with lead sing David Boyd and guitarist Søren Hansen, former drummer Poul Amaliel was hired to play drums for them during a competition for a local radio station in Denmark. After being one of the top four finalist in the competition, New Politics signed with RCA Records in November of 2009. New Politics started their climb to fame here in the U.S. opening for Fall Out Boy during their Save Rock and Roll tour in 2013 and 2014. New Politics kicked off their first ever heading tour in early 2014, Harlem, U.S.A. The band started their headlining Everywhere I Go Tour on Oct. 14th in Washington, D.C. and are currently touring North America.

We Bought A House!

We started looking in August at a condo across the street from our current apartment because we liked living in Downtown Fort Worth so much.  And after realizing that space was a bigger priority than location we started looking outside our current neighborhood.  After falling in love with a couple of other houses and not being quick enough to get in a bid, we finally found the perfect house in the perfect time!  So we pounced on it you could say!  So welcome to our perfect and adorable 1st home!

We are still in the city of Fort Worth and have some BIG plans for decorating and making some small changes until this home is just perfect for our family!  There will be many decor post and hopefully party planning post from me!!  So for now follow me on Pinterest, to keep an eye on what we might be planning!
