How It All Started
It started in the Fall and quickly ran into spring. The first night she knew I existed was the night of one of my Fraternity Brother's Lacrosse games. It was cold outside which could only mean it was time to bust out the crazy pants, standard fleece vest, and my Texas boots. I guess I can't say crazy pants due to all the compliments I got in the past, I am getting now and the present, and am sure I will get in the future, but the pants is where it all started. After a glorious UNT victory, it was only proper to celebrate. Unbeknownst to me, my future wife was at the apartment where myself and fellow collegiate colleagues were drinking what college kids drink (this is where the pants come in). From across the room, a picture was snapped of my fine red corduroy Ralph Lauren pants with rugby signs by Miss Rachel Raymond. This picture was key to our relationship. This picture lead to our first "conversation".
Next, we have the first flirt. Myself, heavily medicated due to a sinus infection, was selected to sleep in our 1st place FIJI Tank Shackathon cardboard shack. It just so happened our shack was right next door to the ZTA shack built by none other than Miss Rachel Raymond and her sorority sister Alyssa McClendon. It was time to step my game up. I threw on my best winter snow sweater, navy blue with snowflakes all over, and my best house shoes, quilted blue with a nice fleece lining. All that aside, I know it was the drugs that brought out the flirt in me. It was no better way to kick it off than to find the Jack Daniels box and turn it into a shrine on their shack to get her over to me. One thing led to another and we were sitting there all night talking, well I was spitting my best drowsy game.
All that being said, it was these two events that brought us together and led us on a journey we will never forget.

Our Proposal
On September 21, 2012 we were celebrating our 3 year anniversary! So in our true fashion we made a great day out of it. We went out and had brunch, got a couples massage, went to a movie and then back to Jonathon's apartment to get ready for our dinner date!
Since we had been together for 3 years, I had a growing suspicion that we would be getting engaged soon and my intuition told me that this is probably the day we take that step forward and become an engaged couple. In the morning I wasn't really thinking about that but as the day went on the feeling began to grow. Jonathon had made dinner reservations for Ruth Chris Steakhouse for that evening so we went and had a great dinner. We had a bottle of wine, delicious steak and mac-n-cheese and even desert.
Then the time came for us to go to Denton. Jonathon told me that he needed to go up there to meet some parents, for his fraternity's Parent's Weekend! I was kind of onto this white lie. And I knew that if he was going to propose he would more than likely do it where we met and where our relationship grew. So after we left the restaurant I blurted out "I feel like you are going to propose!!" He was quick to recover and said something along the lines of "No, when I propose, you will know, there will be doves, tuxes and limos." Well his fib threw me off the scent and I relaxed most of the car ride to Denton!
So we get to Denton and head to our Alma Matter, we take a little walk through our Library Mall and we walk to where we first met and then he gets down on one knee and ask me to be his wife! I cried and said YES!!!
