I started my current job May 31, 2011. After watching TV and Movies where Men in business wore fancy suits and powerful ties, I could only assume I needed to do the same. To my surprise, when I showed up to work on my first day everyone was cloaked in what is now called Business Casual. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy being lazy just as much as anyone else. However, I noticed that my work caliber seemed to go side by side with my dress code.
Could it be true? Does business casual turn my work to casual. In my case, the answer was yes. There is something about putting on that tie in the morning and tightening the knot that just seems to ignite something in me. It allows me to turn this switch into work mode. So I have decided for myself that if I dress lazy, I act lazy. That is the last thing I want.
So I introduce you to my first fashion series of the blog, "What to Wear: Corporate America." This series will highlight not only what my outifts will be, but how I chose those outfits. I will touch on shirts, slacks, sport coats, suits, ties, socks, shoes, and anything else that will help you dress for success while leaving the lazy behind.

The series begins Monday February 10, 2014.
I look forward to embarking on this new series and hopefully we both find new looks, ideas and brands along the way.
